If drawing children is something you enjoy doing and/or wish to improve upon, today’s video talks about how to draw children’s faces.

Several people have expressed interest in drawing and painting children in their lives so today I used a drawing activity inside the program  Fantastic Faces in 5-Day  to help all of you really capture the children in your lives in your art.

Periodically I host bonus feedback sessions for students interested inside the program.

Lynne did NOT want her portrait to look photo-realistic, she appreciates a stylized approach to portraiture. So we discussed strategies that aligned with her goals. That’s what feedback is all about!

I cover:

  • How is drawing a child’s face different from drawing adults?
  • We discuss hard and soft edges
  • What it means to create transitions in your art
  • Tools you can use to create soft transitions

Today’s feedback session is thanks to students inside my program Fantastic Faces in 5-Day, which is open for enrollment. I appreciate you all! Thank you for trusting me with your art.
