I used a bone folder to smooth out the pages instead of cardboard. Have had trouble with gesso and acrylics sticking to one another once the book is completed – any suggestions?
Never use that binder before – will have to try it out!
A matte varnish may help limit the stickiness. I was reading that stickiness may also be related to the proportion of pigment to binder… the more pigment, the less sticky. The other idea I have is to use a clear contact paper to cover the page. I’ve thought about doing that with all my pages so that my work would have less wear and tear when I read through it or share it with others.
I like the binder. I didn’t have a choice at the time when I bought it, but I’ve found it quite handy.
Hey Pat, I found something else someone recommended: rub a white wax candle over your pages and let it “cure” for about a week.
